A quarterstaff is a blunt, cheap-to-craft weapon that deals low damage.

The quarterstaff possesses the following weapon properties:

• Reach I

  • Allows player to attack up to 7 blocks away.

• Sweep II

  • Deals 50% of base damage to multiple foes.

Notes

• It is very useful during early game progression due to its reach property and low cost.

Tips

• You can use the Vitamins bauble to nullify the Two-Handed Mining Fatigue debuff. This allows you to swing the quarterstaff at max speed with an item in the off-hand.

• It is recommended to replace your normal axe with a quarterstaff as it possesses the same mining capabilities but also deals significant damage.

Trivia

• The quarterstaff is the cheapest weapon to craft that has reach.
