A dagger is a bladed weapon with fast attack speed but low damage. While it has low base damage, it deals significantly more damage in backstab attacks.

Notes
The dagger's backstab ability make sneak attacks and assassin builds viable.
Tips
It is a decent weapon early-game due to its low cost of resources required to craft.
Wearing mob skulls and drinking invisibility potions increases stealth, allowing for more backstab attacks
Trivia
Dragonsteel daggers have the highest potential DPS out of all the Spartan weapons at 97.5, but in practice, this is unachievable due to the difficulty of consistently landing backstab attacks.
It is one of the few weapons whose netherite and diamond variants deal more damage than the dragonbone variants.
