Greatswords

Realistic Survival - Spartan Weaponry

A greatsword is a bladed weapon with high damage, extended reach, and full area-of-effect (AOE) damage. It is unwieldy and has a slightly slower attack speed than regular swords.

This page applies to the default, pre-generated configuration of the most recent version of Realistic Survival. If you have customized the items or are using an older version of Realistic Survival, the information listed here may not be consistent with your values.

The greatsword possesses the following weapon properties:

  • Reach I

    • Allows player to attack up to 7 blocks away.

  • Two-Handed II

    • Applies Mining Fatigue IV for 0.5 seconds when any item is held in the offhand.

    • If the off-hand is empty, the greatsword swings at normal speed.

  • Sweep III

    • Deals 100% of base damage to multiple foes.

Notes

  • Dragonbone and dragonsteel greatswords will apply their abilities to any mobs hit by a sweep effect

Tips

  • You can use the Vitamins bauble to nullify the Two-Handed Mining Fatigue debuff. This allows you to swing the greatsword at max speed with an item in the off-hand.

  • It excels at clearing groups of mobs due to its sweep and extra range

Trivia

  • The greatsword's Sweep III trait partially stacks with the vanilla Sweeping Edge enchantment. If the greatsword is enchanted with Sweeping Edge, mobs will take damage twice, once from the Sweeping Edge enchant and another from the Sweep III trait. However, the size of the area of effect will remain unchanged.
